Default Ritualist Second Profession

Hi,

I love my Ritualist!! However comes the time to choose a second profession. What works best any ideas? Also, this sticky on the Ritualist was very informative too.

Depends on what you want to do. Me being a Wunderlust Spirit Spammer, I went ranger to use Serpent's Quickness. The ritualist is interesting in that viable builds can utilize many secondary profession; in fact, there isn't one secondary I have seen working poorly with a ritualist consistently; plus, many elect to go all ritualist. Nonetheless, going ranger is good for spirits, monk for healing support, and necro for minion bombers. There are other builds to, but those are some of the main secondary combination builds.

well, you have many options to say the least. so here it goes.

To begin, i started with Rt/N in shing jea, but unless you are planning to make minions, it is pointless. Rt/Me is very useful due to the inspiration magic's line of defenses, or at least it is for me. Rt/R is excellent. Along with serpent's quickness as stated above, you have several skills at your disposal to keep you alive ( i personally use my pet when i channel for an extra tank/DPS). Rt/Mo is fairly good, but typically i've found out for a beginning rit, your energy is too small to afford their costly prot and smiting spells (although they have hex removals unlike rit skills) Rt/P and Rt/D, well i don't have much experience with. Rt/A is another good combo with excellent "keep you alive" spells. Rt/E you might have some synergy with, but only when you're channeling (typically).

IMHO, go for Rt/R. The primary ritualist gains greatly from their pets, skill quickeners, and wilderness survival skills (and further in the game, you can use spirit's strength with a bow for spikes if that's your thing =D )

also Rt/A can tepeport between his spirits... its kinda fun and diverts aggro on you ...

channeling =/= ele... i dont know where ppl are getting this from :O... channeling is nice because you have damage and energy management all in one... but it only synergizes with glimmering mark...? you could have 2 types of damage at your disposal (lightning + ele choice) or something like that >_>...

rt/p... vocal was sogolon ... thats it :O

rt/d... big scythe... big weapon spells... maybe?

rt/mo is your only way to get hex removal (other than /me with dispel hexes, which is viable)... so check that out if you wanna pvp/heal high end pve (deny hexes + divine spirit hax)

bows are quite effective on rits as you get splinter weapon and dual shot which can spike for a good amount ... /R has fun combos on a rit
